- Empty and sanitize waste receptacles
Weekly Requirements
- Deep clean floors with hospital-grade floor cleaner
- Sanitize walls up to 6 feet height
- Clean and disinfect air vents
2. Operating Room
Between Cases
- Remove all disposable items and medical waste
- Clean and disinfect OR table and mattress
- Wipe down all surgical lights and equipment
- Clean floors with germicidal solution
- Replace all surgical linens
Terminal Cleaning (End of Day)
- Complete top-to-bottom cleaning of all surfaces
- Disinfect all equipment including anesthesia machines
- Clean and sanitize storage cabinets
- UV light sterilization if available
3. Instrument Processing Area
Daily Protocol
- Clean and disinfect decontamination sinks
- Sanitize all work surfaces
- Clean ultrasonic cleaners and autoclaves
- Check sterilization indicators
