Immediate Response Protocol

• Call 911 immediately for life-threatening situations
• Assess patient using ABC protocol (Airway, Breathing, Circulation)
• Deploy AED if cardiac emergency suspected
• Designate staff member to direct emergency responders

Staff Responsibilities

• Front Desk Staff: Contact emergency services, manage facility access
• Physical Therapists: Provide immediate care within scope of practice
• PT Assistants: Assist lead therapist, manage other patients
• Practice Manager: Document incident, coordinate follow-up

Fire Emergency

1. Activate fire alarm
2. Follow R.A.C.E. protocol:
   • Rescue patients in immediate danger
   • Activate alarm
   • Contain fire by closing doors
   • Evacuate or extinguish if safe
