What is Pityriasis Rosea?

Pityriasis rosea is a temporary skin rash that typically resolves on its own within 6-8 weeks. It's characterized by a distinctive pattern of pink or salmon-colored patches on the skin.

Key Features

• Usually begins with a single "herald patch"
• Followed by smaller patches in a "Christmas tree" pattern
• Most common in people aged 10-35
• Not contagious

Symptoms

• Secondary rash appearing 1-2 weeks later
